A new natural treatment for women’s hair loss

Article posted on July 28th, 2007 in Hair Product News, Womens Hairloss | 2,710 Views | Leave a Comment

While society has traditionally regarded hair loss as a problem associated with men, losing your ‘crowning glory’ also can be devastating to women and teens.  Over 40 million women are affected each year and are always looking for a way to stop their hair loss.

Lifes2good, a leading European natural healthcare company, is promoting a new product they claim will help women with hair loss.

The product called Nourkrin(TM) is a unique marine-based food supplement that is 100% natural and contains:

– Marine based extract of proteins and polysaccharides.
– Silica, an important mineral for reducing hair loss and maintaining strong healthy hair.
– Horsetail extract, the organic form of silica that increases the strength of the hair and revitalizes lifeless hair.
– IGG Protein aids in the digestion of the product.

Stress, poor diet, the Pill, HRTs, childbirth, cancer treatment, and menopause are blamed for a national problem that’s ruining the lives of over 40 million women who experience thinning hair and hair loss.

“Hair loss is a much bigger issue to women. Up to 60 % of women will lose hair some time in their life, it affects women’s self esteem, and they can become depressed,” says Dr. David Kingsley, the world’s only trichologist (hair/scalp expert) named as a member of the prestigious AAD. He recently authored the book, The Hair Loss Cure: a Self-Help Guide, operates two hair loss clinics in the U.S. and treats thousands of women. He uses Nourkrin(TM) in his therapies with amazing success rates. “Not all hair loss is genetic or permanent. In many cases, hair loss is a temporary issue and will eventually grow back.”

The company claims in a survey of 1,000 Nourkrin users, 62.5% saw an improvement in their hair after only two months.

A 30-day supply retails for $79.95 and is available at Vitamin World Stores, www.help4hair.com or by calling 1.888.577.7277.

Amazing hair growth results from a LaserComb and Revivogen treatment combination

Article posted on July 4th, 2007 in Hair Loss News, Hair Product News | 2,402 Views | Leave a Comment

This hair loss sufferer used a HairMax LaserComb and Revivogen and saw his balding crown fill in just over a year later.   He started his hair loss treatment regimen on March 31, 2005 and by July 27, 2006 he had noticeable hair regrowth.

According to his comments he used the LaserComb every day (not 3 days a week) and just held it in place for about 10 seconds in the balding areas.   He also used a natural topical DHT blocker called Revivogen each night.    He’s not sure what gave the most growth but most likely it was the combination of the two.

The HairMax LaserComb and Revivogen are an ideal combination for people with hair loss who don’t want to use pharmaceuticals to regrow their hair.

See the YouTube video for his results: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw3QDhX8ef0

Scientist discovers protein in anti-wrinkle cream that thickens hair and restores natural hair color

Article posted on June 19th, 2007 in Hair Loss News, Hair Product News | 3,390 Views | Leave a Comment

NEW YORK, /PRNewswire/ — DermaPlus, Inc., the maker of the popular wrinkle cream DermaLastyl, announces the launch of a new product Keracyte brand scalp conditioner. Using DermaPlus’ patented active ingredient Elastatropin, Keracyte is formulated to stimulate hair follicles to make existing hair shafts thicker, stronger and longer. Keracyte also contains a proprietary catalytic anti-oxidant Prolisel that protects against the damaging effects of UV light and dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Dr. Burt Ensley, PhD, a noted microbiologist and CEO of Dermaplus states, “We believe that healthy skin is the key to healthy hair growth. It is widely known that hereditary hair loss occurs when DHT and UV light damage cells in scalp follicles. The follicles get progressively smaller, shortening the hair growth cycle. The resulting hair is thinner and shorter and eventually stops growing at all. We know that human hair follicles are little factories associated with and responsible for production of proteins such as elastin and keratin. Not only is tropoelastin produced by the cells in the hair follicles but the follicles themselves appear to depend on it. To combat that recessive process, we applied the same recombinant DNA technology to hair care that we used for our DermaLastyl anti-wrinkle treatments. We found that older hair follicles grow larger in reaction to the Elastatropin and Prolisel. I have utilized this discovery to produce some astonishing results; not only are the hair shafts longer, thicker and stronger but amazingly many users report that Keracyte is restoring their natural hair color as well. Who would have thought a scalp conditioner would do all these things and also restore the hair’s natural color?”

DermaPlus is a subsidiary of Matrix Design, Inc. (http://www.mtrxdsgn.com/), a biotechnology company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, high performance biopolymers based on human matrix proteins such as elastin and keratin. Tropoelastin-based Elastatropin is the first biomaterial to be formulated into cosmeceutical and skin care products. Elastatropin is exclusively available in DermaLastyl skin care products. Keracyte and DermaLastyl are not available in stores.

New Adenosine based hair loss shampoo released

Article posted on June 12th, 2007 in Hair Loss News, Hair Product News | 2,842 Views | Leave a Comment

American Beauty Supply, manufacturer of the Sedu and Solia hair care brands, have just released a new line of innovative hair loss treatment products under the brand name Dermenodex.

This new product line is being launched as a complete system of treatment designed to help men suffering from thinning hair by using a scientifically proven ingredient Adenosine, explains Richard BenBassett, Vice President of American Beauty Supply.

“Industry research shows that Adenosine, one of the ingredients in Dermenodex products, naturally exists in the human body and is a key part of the chemical reaction required to help grow human hair,” explains BenBassett. “Adenosine works by influencing the production of FGF-7 which encourages the hair growth process.”

Dermenodex products are also enhanced with bio-nutrients that nourish, moisturize and improve the scalp condition, removing environmental impurities and DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) from the scalp, creating a healthy environment for hair growth.

The Dermenodex line features a daily Scalp Cleansing Shampoo and Therapeutic Scalp Conditioner, and Scalp Treatment solution. The products were created as an ultra-intensive, fully reinvigorating energizing system, aimed at treating male hair loss.

BenBassett believes that nourishment and stimulation, helps increase scalp microcirculation, which in turn improves scalp condition, lengthens the lifecycle of the hair, and increases scalp wellness. Through continued use, Dermenodex will help restore hair’s natural vitality, thick look and healthy shine. The products also give hair a fuller appearance by enhancing the vitality of roots through the 3% Adenosine solution which stimulates follicle growth.

Richard BenBassett, announced the three new products would be carried exclusively online through internet retailer Folica.com.
