Consumer Alert: How not to get ripped off with phony hair growth pictures

Posted on March 21st, 2007 in Hair Product News by admin | 1,650 Views | Print This Post/Page

You’ve all seen those hair loss products, the ones with pictures so convincing you have to restrain yourself from clicking and ordering it before you have even had time to finish reading the pitch.

Do you ever stop to wonder if the pictures are real?   If you don’t you will after reading this story which shows just how easy it is to scam people with a bottle of shampoo, an Ebay account, and an appealing product pitch.

A poster on our forums had seen this product being promoted on Ebay with amazing results and this incredible claim.

“Incredible New Proven Miracle Discovery that WILL REVERSE Your Baldness or Thinning Hair and Restore your Natural Head of Hair in Less than 60 days!!”

These amazing claims were accompanied by these even more amazing pictures together with the following compelling statement:

All above photo’s are genuine and have been taken from customers who tried Comandri Ultimate Hair Growth Shampoo/Tonic for just 30 Days!!

That was enough to get the attention of our forum poster.

As with all things in life if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.   And this case was no exception.

It turns out that these pictures actually come from this website below that sells a cosmetic product called Nanofibers which is designed to conceal thinning hair.

In other words, none of those people shown there ever regrew their hair, and certainly not with the “Comandri Ultimate Hair Growth Shampoo”.

So just remember, even if the seller promises you that the pictures are genuine and he has an Ebay rating that’s stellar, it does not mean he is not an outright fraud who would not hesitate to resort to trickery and lies in order to get your hard earned money.
